Radar Homes South West Ltd has held its first committee meeting at Sandy Park Conference Centre in Exeter.
The committee is made up of Directors from the ever growing number of Radarhomes.co.uk’s member estate agents, all of whom are automatically shareholders in the company, and founders Mark Flynn and Julian Partridge.
They discussed the expansion of the online property portal’s coverage into all parts of England, Scotland and Wales, the development of new online tools which are of great benefit to both estate agents and house hunters alike, and ways in which members can help to promote Radarhomes.co.uk
The discussion was full, frank and wide-ranging and revealed a great deal of optimism for the future of the website.
Southwest coverage for Radarhomes.co.uk now runs across all counties of the region, and the website is now starting to take on members in the Midlands. Membership continues to increase and now stands at just under 500 estate agents.
Additional functionality has been introduced to the Radarhomes.co.uk portal with a My Radar section for homebuyers to save their search information, a blog section to keep members up to date with what’s happening in the industry and improved automatic and manual uploading of property details from member estate agents.
Soon to come are Google map functions and enhanced premium listings offered at no extra cost to members. Future developments include shortening the time it takes to upload new properties to the website, resulting in a 24 to 48 hour lead over competitors.
Julian Partridge commented: “There’s no doubt that Radar Homes is up against some real industry giants, but our advantage lies in the motivation of our members who all have a real stake in the future of the website. What’s emerged from this first committee meeting is a total commonality of purpose and a willingness and commitment on behalf of the members to promote the Radar Homes brand and to use the website to its full advantage.”
Mark Flynn continued: “Anything that the shareholding members do to promote Radarhomes.co.uk is ultimately for the mutual benefit of all members. The strength of the concept lies in its collective nature. We are all very confident going forward with a venture that offers an alternative to pumping money into portal websites that constantly raise their fees and retain ownership of the member’s information.”
Radarhomes.co.uk is unique within the online property portal industry because of the level of control and interaction it gives its member estate agents, who are all shareholders in the company. This innovative approach also massively undercuts the usually crippling costs associated with subscribing to a property website. |
